The Gladiator Flowering Crab is an excellent ornamental that has lush glossy bronze-purple leaves and attractive pink flowers. Its shape is an upright crown that is ideal for smaller sites and can easliy be planted under powerlines. Its form and look lends itself to a single ornamental planted in a yard or on a boulevard. It can also be planted in rows to form a beautiful natural living screen. It is considered to be disease and cold resistant. It can grow to about 5-6m (15-20ft) tall and spread to 2-3m (6-10ft). | Thunderchild | The Thunderchild Flowering Crab has deep purple leaves with delicate dark pink flowers in the Spring. Foliage turns dark red as fall approaches. It grows into an oval crown and is resistant to fireblight. It is an excellent tree as a single accent or can be planted in a row to provide a colorful screen.
